File Upload Guidelines

At Signsbynight.com, we want to ensure your custom signage looks as vibrant and professional as possible. Follow these simple guidelines to upload the perfect files for your order.

1. Supported File Formats

To guarantee the best results, we accept the following file types:

  • PDF (preferred for vector designs)
  • AI (Adobe Illustrator)
  • EPS
  • JPG/JPEG (high resolution)
  • PNG

Note: Low-resolution files or unsupported formats may result in delays or subpar printing quality.

2. Image Resolution

For sharp, professional results, use high-resolution images:

  • Banners/Yard Signs: At least 150 DPI at full size.
  • Smaller Prints (Canvas, Stickers): At least 300 DPI at full size.
  • Avoid using images saved from social media or screenshots—they’re often compressed and not suitable for printing.

3. Color Mode

  • Use CMYK color mode for print.
  • RGB files may appear different when printed.

4. Safe Zones and Bleed

  • Add a 0.125-inch bleed around your design to ensure it prints edge-to-edge.
  • Keep critical text and logos at least 0.5 inches away from the edge to avoid cropping.

5. Common Issues to Avoid

  • Low-Quality Images: Avoid images that are pixelated or too small.
  • Incorrect File Types: Ensure you upload one of the accepted formats.
  • Missing Fonts: Convert text to outlines to prevent font mismatches.
